Ranabima Royal College is a public boys' school located in Gannoruwa, near Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka.The college is surrounded by Gannoruwa and Hanthana Mountains, and is situated on the bank of the Mahaweli river. Dividos sanctuary is located just beside Ranabima Royal College, as are the Botanical Garden of Peradeniya and University of Peradeniya. Agricultural research facilities in Gannoruwa of the department of agriculture are also located beside Ranabima Royal College.The college is approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from the town of Peradeniya via the New Colombo–Kandy highway and approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) away from city of Kandy.
